Starting in Cairo, we explore the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum, then continue to Aswan to visit the Temple of Isis and the vibrant souq. The Eucalyptus Cruise takes us to Kom Ombo and Edfu and on to Luxor with its historic gems. Then, we relax at the Red Sea Resort in Hurghada before returning to Cairo.
Overview
We begin our travels in Cairo, Where we discover the pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum, as well as the atmospheric Islamic streets. In Aswan, we visit the temple of Isis on Philae Island, hunt for bargains in the excellent souk and visit Abu Simbel on an optional side trip, before boarding our comfortable Nile cruise boat. We visit the Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu then arrive in Egypt’s treasure trove, Luxor, where Karnak Temple, The Valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatshepsut await our awed attention. After all that exploring, the Red sea resort of Hurghada offers the ideal chance to relax and enjoy a breezy coastal atmosphere, before we head back to Cairo.
